Engine
When we picked up the boat initially from the RHKYC boatyard, the marine mechanic said that the oil should be changed in about 20 hours, because of the repairs, there might be some debris. I don't know how many hours we've run the engine since then. Is there a hour clock on the engine? Also, we need to buy oil filters.
To do list from August 8, 2007
We have about 14 items to buy/repair/install for our boat. I split up it up 4 ways: 1. SAILS, 2. ON DECK, 3. INSIDE BOAT, 4. MISCELLANEOUS. Of course, not everything has to be done by ourselves. Some of the cosmetic work and installation can be done by professionals or the yacht club. I propose the following:
Sails: - John
1. buy a and install furler
2. buy new set of sails
3. buy winch covers
On deck: - Aaron
1. Paint deck
2. Re-chrome winches
3. Re-polish stainless steel parts
4. Refinish toerails on the deck
Inside the boat - Qi
1. Varnish floor boards
2. Refinish woodworking
3. Re-seal the front hatch
4. Buy new stove
Miscellaneous - George
1. Buy handheld marina GPS
2. Buy an inflatable dinghy with outboard engine
3. Install depth meter
4. Buy radar reflector
